Shortlisted entry for the 2020 Reimagining Croydon's Subways competition

OUTdoorsIN is our proposal for the long-term reuse of Croydon's subway tunnels as year-round indoor facilities, providing an introduction to a wide range of outdoor pursuits.

On the wall opposite the activity, panorama views of some of the most popular outdoor pursuit locations in the country would form an exciting backdrop.

Sculptural glazed structures in place of the old subway entrances would enclose new prime location cafes, bars, or food outlets, each of which would be themed on - and potentially even sponsored by - one well known outdoor location as referenced in the subway below.
