Julia Kashdan-Brown BSc BArch RIBA
Julia has expertise in a wide range and scale of building types across several sectors, with specific experience in arts-related buildings, involving close liaison with artists and local communities.
Previous experience from 1988-2009 was gained at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios LLP. Julia was a Partner there from 1995. Projects completed from this period include Persistence Works, an artist studio complex and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, both of which were Lottery funded. Other projects included schools work with particular experience on specialist Through Schools, and Housing, from a small scale mixed use scheme in London combining artist studios, community space and residences, to large scale Master-planning.
From 2009 to September 2011, Julia co-founded Studio KAH, which continued specific development of collaborative working with artists and architectural projects from private housing to community and arts -based buildings.
Julia is a Regional Enabler with MADE, (Midlands Architecture & the Designed Environment) and is an Enabler with Design Council CABE. She is also a member of the South-West Design Review Panel (SWDRP)
Julia has always been involved with teaching and reviewing at Bath University and has for several years tutored the MArch final degree year. She is currently tutoring the BSc Final Year.
